Why CSP Pilates?
CSP Pilates Classes are a challenging, low impact, total body workout that focuses on strengthening the core and elongating your muscles. Pilates is a resistance based exercise that uses springs or your own body weight to strengthen and stretch allowing the body to develop into a long, strong, lean form. CSP classes will help keep you active, healthy and mobile from your teen years to well into your 90's or more.

About Rachael:
I found Pilates in my 20's. When I was training in ballet & contemporary & I started getting injuries, even though I was 'strong' & was dancing 30+ hours a week. When my hips misaligned & I pinched a nerve I was side-lined from training & had to find a way back from this injury. My Physio was amazing in helping me put my body back together, but as soon as I was finished with rehab it wouldn't be long until I'd get injured again; a popped rib, a pinched nerve, limited range of motion… It felt like an emotional roller coaster! I'd build up strength and ability only to be taken back down by injury. 1 step forward, 3 steps back… It was pretty hard to deal with. When I was 24, one of my friends asked me to go with her to a Pilates class. I'm SO glad I went! It was incredible & I knew it was the 'thing' that would help me stay healthy for life.
A month after I started taking Pilates twice a week I noticed an amazing thing: I felt in control of my body & its abilities. I felt that I had a way to 'keep it all in check'. My balance got better (thanks to a greatly improved core), my back and hips stopped mis-aligning & my posture improved (no more rotated ribcage & hips). I felt so much more freedom in my body. I felt strong. Truly strong. I rarely get injuries, but if I do, I now have a proven way to find my way back from it. The emotional roller coaster has stopped.
I want you to feel healthy & powerful in YOUR body too! I want you to keep enjoying all the activities you love doing. Yoga, hiking, horse back riding, running… Whatever your passion, Pilates will help keep you strong in your body so you can keep doing what you LOVE. Because after all, that's what life is all about… Enjoy it as much as you can!
